This is an in-person sewing group held at the Palmyra (Maine) Community Center at 4 Madawaska Road, Palmyra, Maine.
Join us as we sew and stitch and learn to sew. If you love to sew and like to work with others while you do, come join us Fridays, from 9:00 to Noon. Bring your hand stitching or sewing machine and sew along. If you have questions, bring them. Julie, the group leader, is an experienced seamstress and quilt maker.
If you have never sewn and want to learn, come and join us and learn the following:
- Caring for your machine – cleaning and oiling
- How to thread a machine
- How to wind a bobbin
- Basic sewing terms
- How to stitch a seam
- How to finish a seam
- How to make a drawstring bag.
If you have never sewn before, a sewing machine, fabric, and a accessories can be provided for you.
There is no fee for the class or the group sewing.
